Why Immanuel Baptist Church?
Choosing a church is a serious matter. The church you choose
should be a balance of truth, love, and unity. In our day, sadly,
many churches emphasize unity and love at the expense of truth.
Jesus Christ who loved the church and gave Himself for her (Eph
5:25), is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He leads His people
through the preaching and teaching of the truth, the Bible.
At Immanuel Baptist Church, we preach “all the counsel of God” (Acts
20:27) because we believe God’s Word is inspired, infallible, and
the only authority given by God to show us who God is and how sinful
men can be saved and live a life pleasing to God. We interpret the
Bible literally and believe all God’s promises and prophesies will
be literally fulfilled as they have been through the ages.
Our desire is to equip each believer for the work of ministry for
the edifying of the body of Christ (Eph 4:11, 12). Doctrinal apathy
and doctrinal error have left a legacy of weak and worldly
professing Christians over the years. Strong faith and strong
Christian living result form the Holy Spirit illumination and
application of Biblical doctrine that is regularly preached and
taught. By God’s grace and the power of the Holy Spirit, we are
equipping fathers, mothers, children, and others to glorify Jesus
Christ in word and deed.
Many “go to church” but at Immanuel, we are a church, a body of
believers who are intimately involved in one another’s lives. We
attempt to love, edify, encourage, and minister to one another and
the lost world.
